Keri Davies is a
radio producer andscriptwriter , best known for his work on theBBC radiosoap opera "The Archers ".Davies was born in
Treherbert ,Rhondda ,Wales , but grew up inTrowbridge ,Wiltshire ,England . He gained his A-Levels whilst at John of Gaunt School, Trowbridge. Before he worked in radio, he had a job in a bank, was acommissioned officer in theRoyal Air Force for six years, active inpublic relations inLondon , advertising inDerby and was a media and presentation trainer inSheffield .After this he became a producer for "The Archers" in 1992, and later became senior producer, directing over 700 episodes. In 1996 he wrote a
song for the album "The World of Eddie Grundy " byTrevor Harrison , playing theaccordion . In 1998, he spent some time inPhnom Penh where he trained Cambodian health educators in radio drama scriptwriting. He become a scriptwriter for "The Archers" in 2003 and runs the BBC "Archers" website.Davies set up the Archers Archive Appeal, which helped to recover lost episodes of "The Archers", later this was turned into an
audio cassette , "Vintage Archers 3 — The Lost Episodes". Davies is also the author of the "Who's Who in The Archers" series of books since 1999, which is updated annually. The latest edition "Who's Who in the Archers 2008" was published on October 2007 by BBC Books.Davies also has three children, who have all appeared in "The Archers", with his youngest child, Dominic Davies, playing
Daniel Hebden Lloyd .External links
