"False Gods" is a science fiction novel by Graham McNeill based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, published by the Black Library and is the continuation of the story started in Horus Rising. The story is set 10,000 years before the timeframe of the Warhammer 40,000 setting, and expands upon the tale of the Horus Heresy, the galaxy's greatest civil war and the root cause of many issues in the Warhammer 40,000 universe.

Witnessed once more through the eyes of Garviel Loken, a Captain of the Sons of Horus Legion (Previously Luna Wolves as renamed at the end of Horus Rising). "False Gods" traces how Warmaster Horus continues to battle against the jealousy of his fellow Primarchs, and following combat on Davin and being mortally wounded eventually turns to Chaos to save his life.
