Prairie Fire (mixed drink)

Prairie Fire (mixed drink)

A Prairie Fire is a mixed drink consisting of strong liquor and hot sauce. Between the burning sensations from the distilled spirits combined with the hot, possibly very hot, sauce, one's mouth will feel on fire. For this reason, inducing someone to drink a Prairie Fire, especially in one gulp, is considered by some to be a drinking game.

Variations

Lighter versions may contain much less hot sauce, down to as little as a dash. Some recommend 1:1 mixture, some recommend 1:2 and even less. For the less brave (or the more intelligent) a hearty dash of whatever hot sauce is chosen is all that is required. If monetary bets are involved, the mixture will usually run hotter.
