Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School is a private secondary school located in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It is operated by the Lutheran High School Association of the Greater Sheboygan Area, Incorporated, an association of Missouri--Synod Lutheran congregations in the Sheboygan area.

Religious background

Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School is affiliated with the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod (LCMS). A large majority of the faculty and staff are members of congregations belonging to the LCMS. The staff includes one ordained minister.

All teaching at Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School conforms with the Lutheran Confessions (Book of Concord); however, the school accepts students from a wide variety of Christian backgrounds.

History

Sheboygan Area Lutheran High School was opened in 1978 after many years of hard work and prayer by a group of dedicated Lutherans who believed strongly in Lutheran education. The school dedicated its first building in 1980 and has since added two additions. It will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2008. [http://www.lutheranhigh.com/history.html]
