Santa Fe High School (9-12)
This has been said to be a very unusual school layout.
Layout:
All the schools except for the High School and R.J. Wollam are located on Warpath Ave in Downtown Santa Fe. The high school is located off of SH-6 NW of the town. RJW is located on Ave S north of FM-1764. DJK is located farthest North on Warpath on the right side of the road. ECE is located just South of DJK. FBI is located South of ECE. The Junior High is across the road from FBI.
School Hours:
High School and 5-8 grade start school at 7:15 am and get out at 2:30 pm. Most kids who ride the bus have to wake up before 6 am to ride the bus. All other schools start at 8:15 am and get out at 3:45 pm. This is a very unusual time schedule for a school district as high school and Jr High usually get out after other schools.
Buses:
Pre K-1
2-4
5-8
9-12
After Hurricane Ike:
After Hurricane Ike RJW was unable to have students attend class because the roof collapsed. K students went to ECE(4th Grade). SFISD made a very bold move moving 1st graders to the Junior High. K and 1st are currently riding with 2,3,4 graders home and are on their normal time schedule. SFISD does not known when the school will reopen.
