Midland Independent School District is a public school district in Midland, Texas (USA). Midland ISD contains 35 campuses, two 5A high schools, 24 elementary schools, and two early education centers.
Led by Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Sylvester Perez, Over 21,000 students are spread out amongst the various schools.
Superintendent Dr. Sylvester Perez announced his retirement effective June 30, 2010.[1]
In 2009, the school district was rated "academically unacceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[2]
