Shift register lookup table
- Shift register lookup table
A shift register lookup table, also shift register LUT or SRL, refers to a component in digital circuitry. It is essentially a shift register of variable length. In addition to a single bit input and a clock, it also has some number of address inputsClarifyme|date=August 2008|reason=Explain, or link to articles explaining, all this jargon! which select which bit of the shift register to send to the output.
The SRL component is used in FPGA devices and is particularly useful for a variety of functions.Clarifyme|date=August 2008|reason=That's a nonsensical statement. WHAT functions?
