Israel i popgroup , founded byArik Einstein ,Shmulik Kraus andJosey Katz . The band was active during the 1960s, released one album (self-titled) and a few extra tracks. The original name of the band was The Windows as a tribute toThe Doors , but eventually the name was changed. The band made
pop music , which was very light and catchy. A few of their famous songs were "Einech Yechola" (You Can't), "Atur Mitzchech" (Your forehead is crowned), " Kol HaShavua Lach" (The Whole Week for You), "HaAhavot Sheli" (My Loves), "Yehezkel" (Ezekiel ), "Chayal Shel Shocolad" (Chocolate Soldier), "Kama Naim" (How Pleasant) and more. "Yehezkel" receized a lot of criticism, as it was seen as ireverent. The most famous song of the High Windows was "Zemer Nuge" (A Song of longing), a song written byRachel Bluwstein . It was played byIlan Ramon in space, and is one of the songs now associated with him. After two years of activity, in 1968, the group disbanded.Personnel
