There is also a morning program called "Magic in the Morning", which is hosted by Dirk and Jeannette. It is also stated that the station does not play rap or hard rock music, thus making the station an example of the Hot Adult Contemporary format.

WAJI was known as WPTH throughout the 1960s and 1970s, and in the mid to late 1970s branded themselves as "Rock 95", using TM Productions' "Stereo Rock" reel to reel automation package. The station went live in 1979, and changed calls in 1981 to WFWQ (95Q). 95Q's program director during this era was Mark Elliot. The station mellowed to Adult Contemporary, eventually changing to its current WAJI calls and imaging.
