- Finn Peters
Finn Peters is a flautist and saxophonist. He studied music at
Durham University before taking the postgraduate jazz course atGuildhall School of Music .He is a member of the
F-IRE Collective and the contemporary classical music groupNoszferatu . He has also worked withTwo Banks of Four andMatthew Herbert and recorded under the namesBansuri andFinntech . In September 2006, he released his first album under his own name, "Su-ling", recorded with a band including guitaristDave Okumu , pianistNick Ramm , bassistTom Herbert and drummerTom Skinner . It was selected as aJazzwise album of the year for 2006.In 2006, Finn was also chosen as part of the Jerwood Rising Stars programme [http://www.jerwoodrisingstars.org.uk/RVE0045c9e263374a11bacf2f49b544b71e,,.aspx] .
In July 2007, the Finn Peters Quintet (or 'Finntet') beat the bands of
