Erik Ivar Fredholm (April 7, 1866 – August 17, 1927) was a Swedish mathematician who established the modern theory of integral equations. His 1903 paper in "Acta Mathematica" is considered to be one of the major landmarks in the establishment of operator theory.

Ivar Fredholm has lent his name to the lunar crater Fredholm, by decision of the IAU.
