Christoph Preuß (born 4 July 1981 in Gießen, Hesse) is a former German football player.

Early life

Preuß was born in Gießen, Hesse. Raised up in the Hessian town of Linden.

Career

He played for local TSV Großen-Linden, before moving to Eintracht Frankfurt, nicknamed the Eagles.

Since 2005-2006 Preuß is playing for the Eagles. In the 2006-2007 campaign he had bad luck, being injured for almost the whole first half of the season. On March 17 he secured the 1-0 victory for the Eagles with a spectacular bicycle kick goal against Bayern Munich which earned Preuß the Goal of the Month award and finished second in the Goal of the Year poll. Since then he was plagued with injuries for almost all the time. After coming back from a two-year injury he appeared three times in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt but injured once again. On 28 January 2010, he announced his retirement from professional football.

International career

There he became a U17 national and absolved all DFB youth teams up to the under-21 team.
