Vancouver . The band, consisting of singer, songwriter and guitaristMikey Manville , lead guitaristMark Parry , bassist Greg Buhr and drummer Jay Koenderman. 2005-present.The band play a brand of rock music strongly influenced by 1960s British
Rock music styles. Their debut album "Buried Love" is influenced more by 60spsychedelic music . They have played with many bands in their short career thus far includingStereophonics ,The Bellrays ,Horrorpops ,They Might Be Giants ,The High Dials ,Darediablo , and theSuicideGirls to name a few.The bands live show is known to be unpredictable and intense.
In May 2005, The Manvils opened for the Uk based band
Stereophonics and following the show he was asked byKelly Jones to join them as second guitarist for their world tour.The band appeared on the front page of the popular Canadian fashion/Music magazine [http://www.ionmagazine.ca/ ION] in the April 2006 edition.
In September 2006, the band were awarded the "Best Of Vancouver 2006" by
The Georgia Straight Newspaper.Their music has been featured in films and television including the award winning
CBC Television documentary series "Moscow Freestyle" and they are also featured performing in a 2007 Budweiser Beer commercial.The band signed a recording contract in 2008 with
