"The Light That Has Lighted The World" is a song by George Harrison from his 1973 album "Living in the Material World".Harrison had tried recording "When Every Song is Sung" with Cilla Black and later decided to write a B-side for her[cite album-notes |title=Living in the Material World |albumlink=Living in the Material World |bandname=George Harrison |year=2006|first=Kevin |last=Howlett |pages=pp. 19-20 |format=CD booklet |publisher=EMI Records Ltd |mbid=a2e7b3c1-9681-4992-b684-4e57eeeecd6e] . Both Harrison and Black were from Liverpool and had become famous quickly. After becoming famous people thought they had changed, and Harrison thought of writing a song about that. He came up with "I've heard how some people have said that I've changed" and continued writing the rest]. By the time he was ready, the song had evolved into something completely different and Harrison used it on his own album instead. The song was recorded during the recording sessions for "Living in the Material World".References
