Smirnykh

Smirnykh ( _ru. Смирных) is an urban-type settlement in Sakhalin Oblast, Russia. It is located in the central part of Sakhalin at coord|49.75|N|142.8333|E. Population: 7,561 (2002 Census); 9,693 (1989 Census). Former name was "Keton" during Japanese rule (1905-1947).

It was home to Smirnykh air base during the Cold War.
