Chanel Capra (born on June 25, 1978 in New York City, New York) is an American screenwriter, actor and film producer.
Capra interned at The Shooting Gallery, a production company, before branching out into screenwriting and independent production.
Chanel Capra is of Italian and Dominican heritage.[citation needed] She is the great-granddaughter of director Frank Capra.[1] She currently lives in Los Angeles, California with her mother Ann Marie Capra and siblings Asa Capra, actor Francis Capra and Ava Capra. Her father was killed in 2003.
In 2004, Capra was sued, along with attorney John Dellaverson and Lions Gate Entertainment, by film producer Leigh Ann Burton for breach of contract and false promise relating to the production of a film project called Dying for Dolly (later re-named In the Mix). Capra formed a production company with Lions Gate Films, DFD Productions, Inc. for the production of this film.
