Richard C. Davis (born August 8, 1963) is the founder, president and CEO of Trademark Properties, which he founded in 1990, in Charleston, South Carolina, U.S.A. He and his company specialize in "flipping" houses.

Flip This House

Davis gained national fame when he appeared on the television show "Flip This House", which he allegedly created [ [http://imdb.com/title/tt0476041/ Flip this House credits at IMDB] ] and brought to A&E. The program focuses on the process of buying, remodeling, and selling houses for profit.

Davis and his company are currently suing A&E due to a contract dispute arising out of the latter's refusal to compensate Davis for the program. As a result, Trademark Properties was not involved with the second season of the show. A fan-created website, [http://www.flipthislawsuit.com Flip This Lawsuit] , follows the progress of the lawsuit.

Davis and his crew signed a deal with TLC network for a new show titled "The Real Deal". The series premiered on April 21, 2007 (directly opposite A&E's third-season premiere of "Flip This House - New Haven"). The first episode of "The Real Deal" was "A Home Run for Trademark", a special centering around the relocation of the Shoeless Joe house, while at the same time helping to renovate the life of a current Major League Baseball player Josh Hamilton. In June 2007, "The Real Deal" was renamed "The Real Estate Pros".

One of Davis' flipped houses was to benefit his niece, who is an Alpha Delta Pi sorority member, and her sorority sisters, who had their off-campus residences flipped in the nearby Clemson area away from the university campus. Another flip was the concession stand and bathrooms at the James Island High School football stadium, in James Island, South Carolina.

Personal life

Davis has three sons: Logan, Lawton and Lyles.

Education

Davis graduated from James Island High School in 1981. He then attended Clemson University, where he was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity, graduating in 1986 with a degree in financial management. ["Classmates". "Clemson World". Summer 2007: p. 36.]
