Rebecca Martin (born April 24th, 1969 in Portland,
Maine ) is an Americanjazz singer andsongwriter . She andJesse Harris formedOnce Blue in the early 1990s and released a self-titled debut. In 1998, she released the solo album "Thoroughfare".In 2002, she released the album "Middlehope", which made #5 on the
New York Times ' list of top ten jazz albums of the year. In 2004, "People Behave like ballads" was released onMAXJAZZ Records . In 2005, she performed as a sideman on aPaul Motian recording as part of the 'On Broadway' series #4 onWinter and Winter Records .Rebecca is currently signed to Sunnyside Records. Kurt Rosenwinkel who also plays along with cohorts bassistLarry Grenadier and drummerBrian Blade Rebecca married
