issues=Saint Andronicus ( _el. Ανδρόνικος) was a first century Christian mentioned by the Apostle Paul in Romans 16:7. According to that verse, Andronicus was a "kinsman" and "fellow prisoner" of St. Paul.
In the Eastern Orthodox and
Oriental Orthodox traditions, Andronicus was one of the Seventy Apostles.In the
Eastern Orthodox tradition, Saint Andronicus was made bishop ofPannonia and died as amartyr . He and Saint Junia are commemorated in theEastern Orthodox Church on May 17.In the
Oriental Orthodox tradition, Saint Andronicus departed in peace one day before the departure of Saint Junia. He is commemorated on 22 Pashons in theCoptic Orthodox Church .External links
