"Priority Records v. Brittany Chan" was a Michigan case by the RIAA against 14-year old child who allegedly infringed plaintiffs' copyrights when she was 13 years old, through peer to peer file sharing. The case was dismissed due to the RIAA's failure to submit to the judge a workable plan for, (a) appointment of a guardian ad litem to protect the interests of the child, and (b) the RIAA's payment of the fees of the guardian ad litem.
