Patrick James Lynch (born November 14, 1953 in
Monterey, California ) is an American author, artist, biomedical illustrator, and photographer. He lives inNorth Haven, Connecticut with his wife [http://susangrajek.com Susan E. Grajek] .Lynch is the Director of Web Architecture at
Yale University [http://www.yale.edu/its/web/ Information Technology Services] . In his 35 years with Yale University Lynch has been amedical illustrator , biomedical photographer, audiovisual producer, and for the past 20 years a designer of interactive multimedia teaching, training, and informational software and Web sites. His recent work is in information and graphic design for the Web, enterprise identity and online marketing, and user interface design for network-based systems, for clients such as [http://www.ynhh.org/ Yale-New Haven Hospital] , theHoward Hughes Medical Institute , and the Yale University.Along with his co-author Sarah Horton of
Dartmouth College , he has written two editions of the "Web Style Guide" for Yale University Press. The "Web Style Guide" has been published in eleven languages, and was named one of Amazon’s top 10 Web books in 1999.
