*4 January 1976 - Barry O'Dowd (24), Declan O'Dowd (19) and Joseph O'Dowd (61), all Catholiccivilian s and members of theSocial Democratic and Labour Party , were shot dead during anUlster Volunteer Force gun attack on their home, Ballydougan, near Gilford.References
