Cryptic Fate is a progressive metal band from Bangladesh formed in the early 1990s.[1]

Originally influenced by classic 80s metal, the band’s sound has continued to mature and evolve into a unique style that now bears little or no resemblance to the original. Starting out as a purely Heavy Metal band, their first studio album, 'Ends are Forever,' released in 1994, which was written entirely in English. Their sound started to take a drastic turn during the years following the release of their second studio album, 'Sreshto' in 2001, a concept album about the liberation war of Bangladesh. In 2006, they released 'Danob', their third full length effort. The album was nothing short of the best progressive metal had to offer, and marked such a departure from their original sound it would be impossible for one unfamiliar with their music to guess that they are the same group.
