At the 1991 Pan American Games she finished fourth in the 400 metres and won a gold medal in 4 x 400 metres relay. She won a silver medal in the relay at the 1992 Summer Olympics with her teammates Gwen Torrence, Jearl Miles and Rochelle Stevens. In 1993 she won a relay silver medal at the 1993 World Indoor Championships as well as two medals at the 1993 World Championships.
Her personal best time is 50.17 seconds, achieved in 1993.
