Shiraz Minwalla is a young
India n string theorist. He has been a Harvard JuniorFellow and after that he was an assistant professor atHarvard University . Right now he is an assistant professor atTata Institute of Fundamental Research inMumbai , his home town. He graduated fromIndian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1995, and was awarded the President's Gold Medal for topping the entire batch; he later moved toPrinceton University to earn his Ph.D. He was awarded the Swarnajayanti Fellowship 2005-06 by the Department of Science & Technology,Government of India .
