Shiraz Minwalla

Shiraz Minwalla is a young Indian string theorist. He has been a Harvard Junior Fellow and after that he was an assistant professor at Harvard University. Right now he is an assistant professor at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in Mumbai, his home town. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur in 1995, and was awarded the President's Gold Medal for topping the entire batch; he later moved to Princeton University to earn his Ph.D. He was awarded the Swarnajayanti Fellowship 2005-06 by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
