Ken Frost MA FCA FIPFM, educated at
Dulwich College andEdinburgh University , is a Director of Phoenix Commercial Ventures ( [http://www.pcvltd.com www.pcvltd.com] ), an international venture capital firm that marries investors with investment opportunities in the DPRK. He is also a Director of Hana Electronics, a DPRK based consumer electronics company.In addition to the above directorships, Ken runs a well known and popular network of websites under the "Living Brand" label (www.kenfrost.com).
He has over 20 years' international business experience of FMCG industries, consumer electronics, rough diamond distribution and the internet. He has worked for
KPMG ,Philips Electronics andDe Beers .He is ranked 11th by "Accountancy Age" in their Financial Power List for 2006 of the top 50 of The Ones To Watch, the list identifies the most influential names to look out for in the world of finance for 2006. He is a Fellow of the
Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA), and a member of Gerson Lehrman Group Councils.In November 2006 he was awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Professional Financial Managers for his services to the accountancy profession.
In September 2007 he was nominated for the award of Accountant of the Year in the

Background
He was born in London, and was educated at
Dulwich College (1973-1980); he then studied Economics and Accounting atEdinburgh University (1980-84), gaining an MA.He worked for KPMG London (1984-1989), and qualified as a chartered accountant (FCA). He joined Philips Electronics UK in 1989 as an Internal Audit Manager, moving to Stockholm in 1996 to set up the Philips Nordic audit department. He also set up the world-wide Fraud Investigation Department for
Philips Electronics NV .Moving back to London in 2000, he joined
De Beers as Head of Audit to set up their new department.In 2001 he left De Beers and set up his own internet company ( [http://www.kenfrost.com www.kenfrost.com] ) which publishes a well known and popular network of websites covering a.o. politics, restaurant reviews, culture, cooking and current events under the "Living Brand" label.
An accomplished amateur chef, he has written a book "Accountants Can Cook" which is a compendium of his favourite recipes, coupled with a travelogue of the places that he has visited and experiences that he has enjoyed during the first 40 years of his life.
In 2005 he successfully led the opposition to plans by the
ICAEW to merge with CIMA and CIPFA ( [http://www.icaew.info www.icaew.info] ), the ICAEW lost the vote. He is well known in the profession.External links
