The plot centers around a seven-year-old girl named Savannah, whose father is running for theUnited States Senate . Savannah's parents pay no attention to her, so she decides to run away and hides in her aunt's car.When her aunt goes to the park, Savannah switches cars and ends up with two escaped convicts. The convicts take her in and soon discover there is a $100,000 reward for her safe return. But the robbers grow close to her, and ironically, Savannah finds the love and attention she always wanted.

VHS in 1982, but had been out of print for several years, and was going for expensive prices online due to its somewhat large cult following with people who grew up in the 1980s.On September 26, 2006 it was released on DVD, by Anchor Bay.
