Mohamed Omar, born 1976, Swedish is a poet and politician of Iranian origin. Omar is the author of three collections of poetry. He was also the editor of the Muslim journal Minaret from 2006-2008.

He describes himself as a "radical muslim" and supports the islamist movements Hamas and Hezbollah and sees the late Iranian leader Ruhollah Khomeini as a role model for islamist resistance movements.[1]
