Global Fund for Women

The Global Fund for Women is a non-profit foundation that gives grants to organizations worldwide that focus on women's human rights. Its headquarters are in San Francisco, California. It was started in 1987 by New Zealander Anne Firth Murray who served as President until her retirement in 1996. The Global Fund is the largest organization of its kind supporting grassroots women's groups worldwide.
