Professor Peter Coles is Professor of Astrophysics at Cardiff University.

His primary research interest is in Cosmology, and he is the author of a number of books on the subject.

He has previously worked at the University of Nottingham, Queen Mary, University of London, and the University of Sussex. He studied for his doctorate at the University of Sussex and obtained his first degree from the University of Cambridge.

He has previously lived in Beeston, Nottinghamshire, and Bethnal Green.
