__NOTOC__Piotrków County ( _pl. powiat piotrkowski) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It was created on January 1, 1999 as a result of the Local Government Reorganization Act of 1998. Its administrative seat is the city of Piotrków Trybunalski, although the city is not part of the county (it constitutes a separate city county). The only town in Piotrków County is Sulejów, which lies convert|15|km|mi|0|abbr=on east of Piotrków Trybunalski.

The county covers an area of convert|1429.12|km2|sqmi|1. As of 2006 its total population is 90,227, out of which the population of Sulejów is 6,387 and the rural population is 83,840.

Neighbouring counties

Apart from the city of Piotrków Trybunalski, Piotrków County is also bordered by Łódź East County to the north, Tomaszów Mazowiecki County and Opoczno County to the east, Radomsko County to the south, Bełchatów County to the west, and Pabianice County to the north-west.
