List of FM radio stations in Egypt

FM broadcasting in Egypt began in the 20th century. By the early 1990s, Egypt had only 4 FM stations, but the number increased to 6 by the end of the decade. In 2000, stations moving from the AM band and the introduction of private stations raised the number to 10 stations as of 2006.

  • Foreign radio stations can be easily capted in the summer,mainly israeli,Greek,italian and Cyprus radio stations .
  • Local Radio stations are aired in Armanian,Italian,French,Greek and English since 1940's (Currently these expatriates exist no more as before)

    Sharm El Shiekh

    3 FM Radio Channels operate in Sharm EL Sheikh by the American command of the emergency forces overseeing the borders between Egypt and Israel. 2 of them are army stations and the third is a news station.
