Radio Station "Belarus" (Belarusian: "Радыёстанцыя "Беларусь") is the official international broadcasting station of Belarus.

Since May 11, 1962, the call sign of Radio Belarus has been on shortwave radio. Originally, the programs were broadcast in Belarusian, but in 1985, broadcasting in the German was launched, and in 1998, the Russian and English versions were launched.

At the moment, the daily broadcast timetable of Radio Belarus includes 5 hours of radio air and 10 hours of internet air.

Radio Belarus's programs feature:

*news and information/analytical shows;
*radio meetings with statesmen, politicians, public and religious figures; scientists, writers and musicians, masters of art and folklore; sportsmen;
*programs about history, culture, and the spiritual values of Belarusians.

Showing different aspects of state life, the station also pays much attention to ordinary Belarusian families, including their joys and worries as major parts of the program.

The priority at Radio Station Belarus regarding music is the popularization of the best examples of folk, classical and modern Belarusian music.

Radio Belarus is developing dynamically, as it is being constantly updated with modern equipment, as well as employing many different groups of Belarusians, including both younger and older people. The many different types of Belarusians at Radio Belarus help to generate new creative projects and bring them to fruition.

Radio Belarus transmits daily on the air from 1900 - 2200 hours UTC on the frequencies of 1170, 7105, 7280 and 7290 kHz, and from 0100 - 0300 hours UTC on the frequencies of 5970, 6170 and 7210 kHz.

Radio Belarus started broadcasting online in the English language on January 3, 2005.

On September 1, 2005 the radio increased the air time from 5 to 10 hours, including two 5-hour blocks.

The radio station is "a source of objective and full information"who about Belarus, on the air and on the Internet.
