Battleship battle group

Battleship battle group

A battleship battle group was a formation used by the United States Navy, after the recommissioning of the "Iowa"-class battleships. The BBBG was similar to a carrier battle group, except for the fact that a battleship, rather than an aircraft carrier, was the center of the naval formation. Alternately referred to as a Surface Action Group (SAG).
