163 St–Amsterdam Ave is a station on the IND Eighth Avenue Line of the New York City Subway, located in Washington Heights, one of the northermost neighborhoods in Manhattan.
The stop is at the intersection of Saint Nicholas Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue. The NYCS|C train provides service at all times except from 11pm to 5:30am. During these hours the NYCS|A stops here. 163 Street is the next-to-last stop on the NYCS|C line. Despite having 163rd Street in the station name, surface portals are available only at 161st and 162nd streets. Only the southern end of the mezzanine is opened to the public.
