Ian Dalrymple (born

He was educated at
Cambridge University . Initially, he worked as an editor at Gaumont-British pictures and theGainsborough studios , later turning to screenwriting. DuringWorld War II , he was a producer for the Crown Film Unit, the government run agency for information and propaganda films. Later, Dalrymple worked for MGM-Korda as a producer. He formed Wessex Productions as his own company, making his films atPinewood Studios .Filmography
