Oeschger became the fourth National League pitcher and the fifth pitcher in Major League history to accomplish the nine-strike/three-strikeout half-inning. Oeschger shares a MLB record for the most innings pitched in a single game (26). In 1920, both Oeschger andLeon Cadore pitched 26-innings for their respective teams in a game that was eventually called a tie due to darkness.ee also
