WLZT is an FM radio station broadcasting on 93.3 MHz whose city of license is in Ashville, Ohio, but is operated from Columbus, Ohio with other stations owned by Clear Channel. Its transmitter is located near Obetz, Ohio.

WLZT features a Classic Hits format featuring hits of the 1960s through 1980s and calls itself "93.3 WLZT." The station is currently owned by Clear Channel Communications. Clear Channel has positioned this station to be a direct competitor to Columbus soft rock station "Sunny 95" WSNY. Much like WSNY, WLZT switches their format to traditional and contemporary Christmas music early November and into December.

Before becoming WLZT on January 1, 2004, the station operated with a Hot AC format as WFCB, "Mix 93.3". WFCB was operated from Chillicothe, Ohio, the original city of license, prior to the move in 2004.

History

WFCB was once located at 94.3 MHz, but to clear the move from Chillicothe to Ashville, frequencies were to be exchanged between WFCB and WKKJ, this happened in 2002. WKKJ was a sister Clear Channel station also in Chillicothe, but operating at 93.3 MHz, playing Country music.

Prior to the frequency switch, WFCB was called "WFCB-94.3". After the switch, WFCB was re-imaged as "Mix 93.3", then "93.3 Lite FM" after the calls were changed to WLZT. The Hot AC format stayed the same throughout the transition and move to Ashville, Ohio. Before the transition to "93.3 WLZT", the station was known as "93.3 Lite FM." The 'Lite' moniker was removed when the station switched to a more gold-based Classic Hits format.
