April 26 ,1999 authorities discovered that in November 1998, shortly after her 18th birthday, Anderson made astraw purchase of aHi-Point 995 Carbine 9 mmsemi-automatic rifle , a12 gauge Savage-Springfield 67Hpump-action shotgun (Serial No. A232432) and a12 gauge Stevens 311D double barreled shotgun (Serial No. A077513) at a Tannergun show nearDenver . These weapons were later used in theColumbine High School massacre onApril 20 ,1999 . OnJune 4 ,1999 , Anderson admitted buying the two shotguns and the 9mm carbine rifle from a Denver gun show. The federal and stateprosecutor s did not file charges against her, stating that she did not know thatEric Harris and Dylan Klebold were planning a shooting and that they could not determine if she purchased the firearms from a licensed dealer.
