Format

The Comic Book Archive format is an often uncompressed archive which uses one of several popular compression file formats. The files may be opened using the appropriate compression program simply by changing the file extension, depending on the file format:
*.cbr →.rar
*.cbz →.zipRare:
*.cb7 →.7z
*.cbt →.tar
*.cba →.ace

Comic Book Archive files usually consist of a series of image files, typically PNG or JPEG files. Occasionally GIF, BMP, and TIFF files are seen.
