Black Gold (also known as Oil Imperium) is a video game of the strategy genre released in 1989 by reLINE Software.

Summary

Game idea is possible to promote and sell a lot of oil and defeat the enemy with all sorts of fair and unfair means. A move always takes a month, with each action in the game costs one or more days.

The game is designed for four players, either by a human (in the hot seat method) or the computer can be played. Players take on the management of a corporate "Interoil", "All American", "Transoil" or "Explora Inc."

There are four different game objectives to choose from: three-year game, play the longest survival of the company in play, play to 80% market share of a player or a game to reach 60 million dollars. When the mission objectives, there are certain differences. Sun takes e.g. the manual bore the mission objective "as the first $ 60 million" longer than the other missions. There are eight oil producing regions to choose from, where licenses, tanks and oil fields to be acquired: Alaska, North America, Central America, South America, Europe, USSR, the Gulf region and Indochina.

The latter can be carried out by a specialist called "Ted Redhair" (inspired by the famous Red Adair).
