31 July 1971 ) is an English former professional footballer. Born inSutton Coldfield ,Warwickshire , as a youth he played as astriker but spent most of his playing career as amidfielder . Tait was a boyhood fan of Birmingham City, and achieved his dream by signing professional terms with the club in 1988. He played for Birmingham for eleven years, his most famous moment coming in the 1995 Auto Windscreens Shield final, when, after scoring the winner, he revealed a t-shirt reading "Shit on the Villa", aimed at City's rivals Aston Villa.
