Broadcast Original channel FOX Original run January 11, 1994 – February 15, 1994 Monty is a short lived American sitcom that aired on the FOX network in 1994. The series starred Henry Winkler as a loud, obnoxious conservative TV commentator (modeled after Rush Limbaugh[citation needed]), Monty had also written a best-selling book tilted I'm Right. I'm Right. I'm Right. Shut Up.[1] The series also starred Tom McGowan as his executive producer and David Schwimmer as his left-leaning son. Monty hoped to capitalize on the same family dynamic that made the television show All in the Family a success in the 1970s. However, the show was canceled after only five episodes. Following the show's cancellation, David Schwimmer moved on to star in Friends.
