Hakodate Main Line

Nihongo|Hakodate Main Line|函館本線|Hakodate Honsen is a railway line between the cities of Hakodate and Asahikawa on the Japanese island of Hokkaidō. It is one of the trunk lines operated by the Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido).

Construction of the line began with the Otaru - Sapporo segment in 1880, and was completed by 1898.

Stations of Hokkaidō Shinkansen are planned to build at the stations of the line, namely at Oshima-Ōno, Kutchan, Oshamambe and Sapporo
