Red Deer Lake is a fresh water lake situated near Bashaw in central Alberta, Canada.

The km to mi|15 long lake is located northwest of the junction of Highway 21 and Highway 53, in Camrose County. The lake is drained through a series of marshes into the Battle River.

David Thompson established a fur trading post for the North West Company on the shores of the lake in 1798.

The name also applies to a swamp just south-west of Calgary, Alberta, which is the reminant of a fresh water lake; and to the surrounding area, and a school situated nearby. The swamp was once a small fresh-water lake, but mostly dried up.
