St Keverne (Cornish: "Lannaghevran") is a village and
civil parish in theKerrier district ofCornwall ,United Kingdom , on the Lizard Peninsula. TheCornish Rebellion of 1497 started there. The leader of the rebellionMichael An Gof (the "smith" in Cornish) was a blacksmith from St Keverne and is commemorated by a statue in the village. An Gof before his execution is recorded to have said that he should have "a name perpetual and a fame permanent and immortal". The tenor,Charles Incledon was also born in St Keverne.ee also
