Jerry Sharell is an American singer / actor who was best known as "Mickey" on the syndicated version of the children's musical-variety series Kids Incorporated. He was one of the original cast members who appeared in the 1983 pilot that never aired on TV, yet was released on home video in 1985. Sharell only appeared in the first season along with original cast members / singers Marta Marrero ("Gloria"), Renee Sands, Rahsaan Patterson ("The Kid") and Stacy Ferguson in 1984. Rumors were that creative differences and his changing voice were the reasons he left after the first season. He was replaced by Ryan Lambert in 1985.
Throughout the 80's and 90's, Sharell was signed and recorded solo projects for various labels which were never released (MCA Records; Impact/MCA; Zoo/BMG and Quincy Jones Music.)
In 2002, Jerry joined Stiletto Entertainment as Barry Manilow's in-house publicist and later becoming manager to American Idol finalist and Curb Recording artist Kimberley Locke. In May 2006, Jerry announced that he would be leaving Stiletto to start his own management firm, entitled Sharell Management. Kimberley chose to leave Stiletto Entertainment and joined the Sharell Management roster of clients. Through her official MySpace blog on June 24, 2008, Kimberley announced she would no longer be represented by Jerry and was seeking new representation. Jerry appeared on the April 17, 2008 episode of Don't Forget the Lyrics! as one of Kimberley Locke's backup lifelines on the show.
Since October 2008, Jerry has been the Director of Communications & Marketing for the non-profit scholaship fund, Point Foundation.
On May 20, 2010, Jerry returned to the concert stage with live cabaret performance, sold-out at M Bar in Hollywood, titled "The Return." The show included Jerry's personal story-telling of growing up in show biz with pop songs, standards, broadway, the 70's & 80's and more.
