"Slaughter of the Soul" is a 1995 album by Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates. It is considered a genre classic by many fans, and was largely responsible (along with "The Jester Race" by In Flames and "The Gallery" by Dark Tranquillity) for establishing the Gothenburg scene.

"Slaughter of the Soul" was re-released in 2002 with six bonus tracks.

Recently , the title track was featured in the official soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground.

The song "Blinded by Fear" is currently available in a thrash metal downloadable content pack for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Rock Band.
