Silvan is a locality east of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Its Local Government Area is the Shire of Yarra Ranges. At the 2006 census, Silvan and the surrounding area had a population of 1908.

A Post Office opened on 19 August 1892 known as Wandin until 1893, then Wandin South until 1913, then Silvan. Citation

Silvan is the home of the Tesselar Tulip Farm.

Silvan also is the location of the Silvan Reservoir.
