Louis Kronenberger

Louis Kronenberger

Louis Kronenberger (December 9,1904 – April 30, 1980) was an American critic and author. He was a novelist and biographer, and wrote extensively on drama and the eighteenth century.

He studied at the University of Cincinnati from 1921. In 1924 he went to New York, working on the "New York Times", then in publishing and on "Fortune". [Author information in George Bernard Shaw : A Critical Survey (1953).]

He was a drama critic for "Time Magazine" from 1938 to 1961, and then theater arts professor at Brandeis University.
